Charlie has been a funeral director since 1997. He was born and raised in Montana and graduated from high school in Iowa in 1976. He worked for Bell Telephone for 15 years prior to attending mortuary school.
Charlie attended Kansas City Kansas Community College School of Mortuary Science and graduated in 1995. He worked as a funeral director in Kansas for many years until coming back home to Montana in 2004. He worked at Johnson – Gloschat Funeral Home in Kalispell from 2004 until 2012, and he worked in Missoula at Garden City Funeral Home until moving to Polson. Charlie joined the staff in December 2013.
In his spare time Charlie is an avid fly fisherman, enjoys hunting, cooking, bird watching, reading and he enjoys watching high school sports, college and NFL football, and spending time with his family and friends. Charlie is a member of the Montana Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.
Fred Nelson has been in the funeral service profession for over 50 years. He graduated from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and was licensed in Idaho in 1966. He moved to Montana in 1975 and managed a funeral home in Missoula for a few years.
Fred has had the honor of serving Mission Valley as a mortician for more than 20 years in the Polson and Ronan area. He serves on the Lake County Tax Appeal Board, Lake County Cemetery District Board, and the Polson Rural Fire Board, along with the finance council for the Catholic Church.
Fred is a member of the Montana Funeral Directors Association, Washington Funeral and Cemetery Association, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He has been married to his wife Sherry for 50 years and have two daughters and 3 grandsons. He enjoys the beauty of Flathead Lake and boating on the water.
Kim was born in Glendive, MT, and graduated from Dawson County High School. She earned her AA degree from Dawson Community College in Glendive and went on to graduate from MSU-Billings with a degree in business. Kim began working at the funeral home in August of 2011, eventually transitioning from Office Manager to Location Manager. Kim also serves families as an Advance Funeral Planner.
Kim married Rob Congdon in 1992, and they have two grown children, Hayden and Marlee. Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching all kinds of sports (especially the Dallas Cowboys), and attending Griz football games in the fall.
