Obituary for Yvonne Rose Cordier

Yvonne Rose was born to Henry & Rose Dellwo in Ronan, MT on October 7, 1936. She passed away into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on June 10, 2014 at St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula.
Yvonne was the first born of three children. She spent her elementary & high school years between Ronan, Salmon Prairie, Arlee & St. Ignatius. She met the love of her life, Charles 'Rusty' Cordier while they were in elementary school. They married & became a family on June 13, 1959, along with their two children, Terry Lee & James Allen. Their family grew with the additions of Dalene Jean, Scott William , & Brett Russell. As the years passed, their family continued to grow with the marriages of their children & the births of their grandchildren & great-grandchildren, who provided both Yvonne & Rusty with much love & many cherished moments. Her passions of sewing, canning, baking & cooking favorite recipes provided countless gifts to her children, grandchildren, great-children, & extended family who will always hold these gifts as treasured memories. She enjoyed gardening, playing dice, card games & enjoyed camping. Her home was always open, the coffee was on & her table was always full.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Rose Dellwo,. Her sister, Carol (Dellwo) Kleidosty, her parents in-law, Vic & Pearl Cordier, her grandparents & prior generations who entered the Pearly Gates before her.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rusty Cordier. Her brother, Tom (Sandra) Dellwo, Seeley Lake; her children, Terry (Dave) Orr, St. Ignatius; Jim (Joyce) Cordier, St. Ignatius; Dalene (Frank) Homan, Kalispell; Scott (Colleen) Cordier, St. Ignatius; & Brett (Terri Jo) Cordier, Ronan; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces & nephews & their families, in addition to her many friends.
Although, no one was prepared for her passing, her love for each & every family member, & her pride & confidence in them, will continue to provide her family with strength & comfort in the coming days, months & years, as her presence will remain with them until they are reunited once more.
A private family only viewing will take place at Grogan Funeral Chapel, in Polson, on Friday, June 13th between 2pm & 4pm.
The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, June 17th, at the St. Ignatius Catholic Mission at 10am, officiated by Fr. Andrew Maddock, after which inurnment will take place at the St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetary followed by a potluck luncheon at the Good Old Days Park Pavillion.
Flowers can be sent to St. Ignatius Catholic Mission at 333 BearTrack Lane in St. Ignatius, MT. In lieu of flowers, donations can also be made in Yvonne's name to the charity of your choice. Her favorite charity was St. LaBre Indian School.
