Obituary for
William James "Bill" Cook
Surrounded by people who loved him, William J. "Bill" Cook passed away at the grand age of 91 on March 31, 2015. Bill was born on November 6, 1923 in what was the parlor of the Font Grove house on his family's farm in upstate New York. Bill was a World War II service veteran with the Army communication engineers. He met and married Elizabeth "Betty" Agar on June 18, 1949. As he pursued his career in electrical/communication engineering and sales, he traveled all over the world and the United States. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hike, bike and of course fish. He had a great love for life and had a wonderful outlook on life with his infectious sense of humor and story-telling.
Bill was a great dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, husband, uncle and friend. He is survived in death by his brother, Bob Cook (Sue), and sisters, Gertie Agar (Dick) and Carolyn Manus, daughter, Karen Sargeant (Mike), son, Ken Cook (Robin), grandsons, Philip Cook (Heather & great grandson, Teagen), Nathan Cook (Tasha) and Adam Cook and lots of wonderful nieces & nephews.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held on May 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church on 4th Ave. E. in Polson, MT. Interment of his ashes will be in June, 2015 at the New Scotland Presbyterian Church cemetery outside of Albany, NY.
