Obituary for Thomas Matthew Brown

Thomas Brown of Polson, MT passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. He was 72.
Tom was born in Polson on May 29, 1942, and attended college at Montana State University where he received his degree in Civil Engineering. Tom was a Professional Engineer who built many of the largest bridges and dams throughout the world. His career took him many places, living in South America, Europe, Canada, California, and many other locations in the United States before finally returning to Polson to retire three years ago.
Tom was married to Roxanna on March 20, 1981. They lived a beautiful life together and shared many memories for 34 years. Tom loved to golf and watch the San Francisco 49'ers play football. He was a member of two professional engineering organizations, The Moles and The Beavers, and enjoyed the annual meetings and get-togethers with his fellow civil engineers. He was a kind and loving man who made friends easily.
Tom is preceded in death by his father, Tom Brown. Survivors include his wife, Roxanna, two children, Forest and Terry, his mother, Agnes, his sister Kathleen, and his brother Mike, his granddaughter, Madison, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at 11 am at the Lake Funeral Home. Pastor John Payne will officiate, and a reception will be held immediately following the service. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
