Obituary for
Shirley Cutler Drew
Shirley Cutler Drew, born Aug. 24, 1939, in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, died Sept. 17, 2016, in Polson. She was 77.
Shirley’s husband of 33 years, Kenneth Lee Drew, and her parents, Shirley Youngs Cutler and Louise McLean Cutler precede her in death.
Her brother, Lee McLean Cutler, of Jackson, Wyoming; her nephew, Keith Cutler, of Kailua, Hawaii; and her nieces, Susan Erickson, of Polson, and Kate Buck, of Fort Huachuca, Arizona survive her.
Shirley graduated from high school in Carmel, California, in 1957 and attended Oregon State University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
Before she moved to Polson in 2005, Shirley and her husband retired to Fernley, Nevada, and in 1999 from Roswell, New Mexico, where they lived for 20 years and owned and operated Great Southwest Aviation, Inc.
Gardening was Shirley’s lifelong avocation. She was a master gardener, a Life Flower Show judge, a landscape critic and a former member of the Oasis Garden Club of Roswell, New Mexico. She served in many capacities on local, state and regional levels with garden clubs. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
