Obituary for Sharon Kay Padilla

Sharon Kay Padilla 71, of Polson passed away on March 24, 2016 at Polson Health and Rehabilitation. She was born July 1, 1944 in Kalispell to Harley and Ruby Shepard.

She was raised on "The Old Ranch" on Eagle Pass Trail in Charlo, where many good memories were made by Harley and Ruby's kids, grandkids, family and many friends. She attended school in Ronan.

On June 3, 1961 she married her husband of almost 50 years, Socorro "Tony" Padilla. The couple lived 30 years in Helena, where many fond memories were made raising their five children. Upon Tony's retirement, they moved back "home" to the Mission Valley.
Kay gave of herself selflessly working many years with the developmentally disabled. First at Helena Industries doing industrial sewing and then at Mission Mountain Enterprises, making many friends in the process.

She was known for her passion for sewing, quilting, crafting, and ceramic doll making. She gave many as gifts to her family which they still treasure today. Kay was known for love of creatures great and small, especially Siamese cats and little dogs. Her yard was always full of beautiful flowers.

One thing she was most proud of was when she and her husband were baptized as one of Jehovah's witnesses in 1965. They both yearned to live forever on a paradise earth. Their children look forward to welcoming them back.

She is preceded in death by her husband Socorro "Tony" Padilla and parents Harley and Ruby Shepard.

She is survived by her five children; Vince (Charlette) Padilla, Jessica(Frank) Repnak, Aaron Padilla, Mario (Michelle) Padilla, Tonicae (Tony)Richard, 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Pat Cousins and 2 brothers, Jim and Joseph Shepard.

Services will be Saturday April 23, 2016 at 3:00 pm, at The Polson Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Reception will follow at North Crow Club House.
