Sharon Kay French

Sadly, our beloved Sharon Kay French (Horsley), age 73, of Polson, MT passed away on January 7, 2025, after years of battling interstitial lung disease. She was surrounded in love by her family at St. Luke Hospital of Ronan when her spirit went to be with the Lord in heaven. 

Sharon was born on February 19, 1951, to Marguerite and Jim Horsley in Indianapolis, IN. She attended Thomas Carr Howe High School and graduated in 1969. She met her husband, Frank at Calvary Tabernacle Church and also attended high school with him. They wed in 1971, and she helped Frank with his jewelry repair business until 1978, when they had their first daughter, Kristi. In 1979, they bought a jewelry store called Franklin Jewelers and co-owned the store together for many years. In 1983, their youngest daughter, Cassi, was born. In 2020, Sharon and Frank moved to Montana to live with their daughter, Kristi and family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite, father, Jim, and brother, Donald. She is survived by her husband, Frank; daughters, Kristi and Cassi; sister, Sandra; and five grandchildren, Ana, Christopher, Noah, Silas, and Phillip.

Sharon had a heart for the church and helping others, especially children. She loved to plan parties, cook meals for others, and bring people together for fellowship. She spent a great deal of her time loving on her own children and grandchildren and made sure to make many special memories with them all. Despite her recent health challenges, she focused on serving the Lord and continued to emit gratitude, joy, and love to all those around her. 

Sharon’s life will be celebrated at the following events on Saturday, January 18, 2025, with a public visitation at 10:00 a.m. (Mountain Time) and a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Church, 1414 2nd St W, Polson, MT 59860. (A livestream video link will be available to view on the New Life Church Polson Youtube Channel and Facebook page beginning at 10:55 am. 

Sharon requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Bus Ministry at New Life Church, Polson.
