Roy C. Fiske
Roy Charles Fiske, 74, of Polson, MT, passed into his Savior's presence on Tuesday, May 3, 2011/ Since being widowed in death by his cherished wife in August of 2007, Blanche Southworth-Fiske, of Polson, Roy has received loving care as a resident of Polson Health and Rehabilitation Center. May God bless all the staff for their compassion. Born May 2, 1937 in Montague, MI to Charles Stoddard and Jeannette Fiske, Roy made the decision to confess Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized in April of 1949. A veteran of the US Army, he later met and married Blanche (Evelyn) And provided for his family as a warehouse supervisor in Westminster, CA until 1994 when he was let go for absenteeism. Later it was diagnosed that Roy had had a series of strokes and heart attacks that left him with no way to return to work. With no insurance or income, he and his wife were very blessed and well cared for by his daughter, Brenda of Boca Raton, FL, and sisters-in-law, Barbary Lyman of San Marcos, CA, and Eva Sisler, of Big Arm, MT. Roy enjoyed family camping and fishing trips. He was an honorable and loyal man. He leaves behind his daughter, Brenda Signorello of FL, and a son, Wayne, living in CA, local friends, church members, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 7, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Polson. Military honors followed the service.
