Obituary for
Roger Neil Targerson
Roger N. Targerson was born July 24, 1943 in Vancouver, British Columbia to Harold and Yvonne Targerson. At the age of 2 the family moved to Washington and lived in Everett-Seattle area.
He graduated from Everett High School, Everett Jr. College and the University of Washington. Roger later earned his Master's degree in Military Science at the Advanced Armor School in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was in the Army National Guard for 18 years.
He held many jobs over the years. When he worked for Sperry Rand he put all the engineering drawing for the Boeing 787 on microfiche and all state documents in Olympia on microfiche. Roger also enjoyed farming, cooking, and his beautiful red tractor.
He had a great love for music and his guitar and could turn any gathering into a song fest. He had his own sense of humor and could turn anything into a joke. His favorite fun times were with his family at the ocean. Even making jokes about a tsunami taking us all out together.
Roger was an EMT for about 10 years. He served on the Dayton School Board, Lake County Planning Board, a Gideon, and on Polson Community Church Board.
In 2001 he developed Guillain-Barre but fought his way back to his tractor.
He loved his tractor but he loved his 5 grandchildren Emily, Chelsea, Cadis, Owen and Lucas even more. He is also survived by his wife, Anita and children Wes and Melissa and a sister Faye.
Memorial services for Roger will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Polson Community Church.
