Our cousin, Roger William Bordeaux, left us behind to reunite with his mother on May 7, 2016. Following a tragic accident, Roger was life-flighted to Kalispell, Montana where he passed away at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
Roger was known for his kindness and generosity and his complete trust in people. He had many friends and acquaintances. His life was filled with ups and downs and for forty years, he admits he was lost to a life of drifting from place to place.
For the last five years Roger has been turning his life around. He is well known in the community as the guy who attended the farmers markets and sat by the roadside with his sign "Roger's Pies". Roger was happiest baking pies and selling them along with homemade candy and cookies.
Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Lee Dupuis Cowan; and his father Kenneth A. Bordeaux. All of his aunts and uncles also preceded him in death.
Roger is survived by his many cousins in Montana and Alaska as well as his half-sister, Charlotte Knoflicek of Lincoln, Nebraska and his half-brother Beaumont A. Bordeaux also of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Funeral services for Roger will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Lake Funeral Home, 101 6th Avenue East in Polson, Montana. Burial will follow services. A reception will follow at the Indian Senior Center in Polson.
Pallbearers are Dick Burland, Joe Wheeler, Darryl Cline; Asias Eoff, Glen Jerome and Slade Cook.
