Richard Alan McClure
Richard Alan McClure, age 65, of Polson, passed away on Saturday December 20th, 2014 while resting at home.
He was born June 2nd 1949 in St. Ignatius, to Roy Willford McClure and Lois Evelyn Baily. He was a member of the Confederated Salish Kootnai Tribes and was educated in Polson school district. He was proud of his determination and success in obtaining his G.E.D. He enjoyed a lifelong learning of mechanical and electrical hobbies.
In 1975 Richard married Carol Cobban in Missoula. They raised their family in Polson.
A loving husband, father, and devoted grandfather, he enjoyed spending time with family. He loved bowling, boating and fishing. He was known for always tinkering on a mechanical project.
He retired in 2009 from Flathead Irrigation Project after 19 years of service.
Richard was steadfast in his Faith and held God close throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brothers, Jimmy and Paul. Survivors include his brothers, Roger, Patrick (Scott), and sister Sharon, his wife Carol, and sons, Mark and Corey, his daughter in law, Stacey, and grandsons Logan and Royce, and numerous other aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces.
