Naoma Browe
Naoma L. Browe, age 78, of Polson, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at her home, of natural causes.
Naoma was born on Oct. 23, 1934 in the family home, in Monterey, CA, to Vernon and Beryle Kuska. She attended Monterey Public Schools. Naoma married Douglas B. Browe in 1952. The couple had four children that grew up in Monterey.
Naoma spent many years working as a waitress at the Hacienda Carmel in Carmel Valley. Naoma enjoyed reading, watching western movies, and playing pinochle. Naoma enjoyed family gatherings and great food. She was a member of the Moose Lodge for many years.
Survivors include her brother, Burl Kuska (Maggy) of Big Fork, her son, Douglas D. Browe of Salinas, Ca., her daughter, Kellee Browe (Kandi), of Ronan, her grandchildren, Doug Browe II (JoAnne) of Suisun City, Ca., Paul Browe of Seattle, Wa., Jim Humble of Sacramento, Ca., Elizabeth Humble (Ryan) of Polson, seven great-grand children, and numerous other family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Beryle Kuska, son, Donald Dane Browe, sister, Verna Simmons, and great-grand daughter, Alice Humble.
The family plans to celebrate Naoma's life with a family reunion and a private burial at a later date.
