Mike Burke passed away peacefully in his hometown of Polson Montana on May 5, 2019. He was 71.
Son to Paul and Eleanor “Tally Burke”, he was born March 6, 1948 in Kansas City Missouri.
Mike, a helicopter pilot in the US Army was honorably discharged December 1970 as a Chief Warrant Officer.
Living in Polson Montana for over 35 years, Mike (Uncle Mike to many) once owed the Polson Liquor Store. He served as the Post Commander for the local VFW and sat on the Hose Committee overseeing the upstairs remodel that was enjoyed by many. His passion for the outdoors included hunting, fishing, picking huckleberry’s and enjoying the best of what Montana had to offer. A friend to many, his generosity to those needing help will be remembered.
He is survived by his son Eric Burke, Daughter in-law Holly Burke. Sister Melinda Eiteljorg, Brother in-law Rodger Eiitelgorg and nephew Burke Eiteljorg.
Funeral Services will be scheduled at a later date.
