Obituary for
Melva M. Hansen
Melva M. (Crawford, Krantz) Hansen was born in Ronan, MT on May 29, 1913 to Ennis and Millie Mullis. She passed away October 5, 2012 at Heritage Place Nursing Home in Kalispell at the age of 99 where she had been a resident for the last several years.
Melva married Bill Crawford on December 14, 1931 in Missoula. In her later years, she was married to Woody Krantz and Albert Hansen. Melva attended schools in Round Butte, lived in Polson and St. Ignatius and the Flathead Valley for many years. She enjoyed time spent with family, playing cards and camping. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking for family gatherings.
Melva was preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings, her husbands, and her daughters, Lorna and Elsie. She is survived by her two daughters Ella Mae (Leo) Walchuk of Helena and Geraldine Jore of Ronan; her two sons Walter (B.J.) Crawford of Columbia Falls; Dennis (Bonnie) Crawford of Helena; son-in-law Bill Repnak of Lakeside, 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, October 11th at Grogan Funeral Home, 101 6th Ave. E., in Polson. A reception will follow. Messages of condolences may be shared with the family at www.groganfuneralhome.com.
