Maynard "Mo" Morris Prince

Maynard (Mo) Morris Prince, age 84, passed away August 31, 2024. He was born May 14,1940 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Maynard Alcid Prince and Vera Reaves Prince, who preceded him in death. Mo was one of eight children. 

Mo served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force and 2 years in the Air Force Reserves. He loved to sing and was active in the Nazarene Church and later and more recently in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He worked with children and youth for many, many years and was a beloved leader, chaplain, and friend for over 20 years in the SDA Pathfinder Youth Club. 

Mo was an AVID Braves Baseball Fan from the first time his dad took him, as a child, to see the Braves play. As an adult, he was often seen wearing his Braves caps and shirts. Mo knew baseball! 

In the last couple of years, Mo resided in St Luke Extended Care in Ronan, Montana and often sang and preached for their church service, when a pastor from the community couldn’t make it. He was friendly and cheerful and loved by all who knew him. He is greatly missed by his family and friends. 

Mo was preceded in death by his brothers: Alcid, Verlin, James, and Dwight Prince; 3 of his sisters: Genevieve Allman, Monarie Cowdry, and Virginia (Jo) Oliver. 

Mo is survived by his sister, Patsy Holley of Lakeland Florida, his wife of 58 years – Joetta (Jedde) Hendrickson Prince; his son, Martin (Glenda Lewis-Foreman) Foreman of Grants Pass Oregon; his grandsons: Anthony Foreman and Jeremy Foreman and wife Rylee of Medford Oregon, and James Foreman (U.S. Army) and wife Colleen of Fort Irwin California; 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life and military honors will be held at a later date.
