Mary Isabelle Ingalls
Mary Isabelle Ingalls, age 84, passed away of natural causes in Polson Montana on January 9th 2016. She was born on August 29, 1931 in Lewistown, Montana.
She was raised in Utica Montana on the Circle Bar Guest Ranch. Got her teaching certificate from Eastern Montana College and began teaching school in a two room school house in Utica Montana, continued to teach elementary school in Lewistown until her retirement in 1987.
They moved to Polson in 1997 where they enjoyed golf, reading, crossword puzzles and their retirement. Most known for not wanting to burden anyone and for her soft spoken nature.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother Bill and Ruth Korell and daughter Teresa, son-in-law Tony Hay and grandsons Willie and Andy Hay.
She is survived by her husband Chuck Ingalls, children Dennis Duty (Karen), Phil Duty (Brenda), Kathy Altenhofen (Mike), David Duty (Joanna), stepdaughter Judy Taylor, stepdaugther Rosemary Bisch (Bill), stepdaughter Cindy Geary (Bill), step daughter Lindy Friman (Mike), stepson Charles Ingalls (Brenda), stepson James Ingalls (Gina) and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren; also survived by sister Colleen (Bill), brother Phil (Karen) and brother Jake (Karen).
