Margaret Woyden
Margaret Irene Woyden, 88, of Ronan, Mt. passed away at her home in Ronan on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011. Margaret was born on Jan. 15, 1923 in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania and grew up and attended school at St. Augustine's School. Margaret moved to Maryland and worked at the Triumph Explosive Factory during WWII making ammunition for the war. She married Walter Woyden, Sr. on Sept. 13, 1947. She lived their whole life in Conshohocken, PA until Walter's death on March 14, 2005. Four years after Walter died, she moved to Ronan, Montana to be near her son Walter and his wife Meg. Margaret loved to travel. She traveled extensively throughout the lower 48 states, Alaska and Canada. She also made a trip to Rome, Italy to see Pope John Paul II and to Switzerland. She loved to go watch the leaves change in New England every year. She was a faithful member of the Catholic Church & always prayed the rosary twice a day. Margaret was a staunch Democrat and supporter of President Obama and loved political current events. Margaret had strong political views and stayed current by watching all the political talk shows. Margaret was a compassionate caregiver throughout her life. She took care of her sister for 50 years in her home and also took care of her mother for 26 years in her home. She loved sitting on her porch back in Pennsylvania and sharing stories with her neighbors. She never owned car or had a driver's license her entire life. She was a member of the Senior Citizens and loved to travel to Atlantic City, NJ. She was financially astute. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter Woyden, Sr., 2 sisters- May & Agnes, brothers Al & Pete. She is survived by one Son- Walter Woyden and his wife Meg of Ronan, 3 grandsons- Bruce, John & Scott and 6 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Her cremains will be interred next to her husband in Pennsylvania in the spring.
