Obituary for
Margaret "Scottie" Marcoe
Our mother, Margaret "Scottie" Irvin Marcoe, passed away of natural causes on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Polson Health and Rehab at the age of 81. She was born October 30, 1934 in Glasgow, Scotland. She was the oldest of four children.
Scottie came to America in 1962. She met her life mate Robert Marcoe and they married in 1970. She has worked at many places over the last 54 years, including, DG's Café, The Shalamar Café, Norma's Café which she bought and named it "The Townhouse Café. She sold the café and continued to work there under the new name "Goodship Lollipop". She also worked at Smith Electric, the Lake County Jail, continued at Pizza Hut where she stayed until she retired for the first time. She later went back to work at the Lake City Bakery until she retired for the last time.
When Scottie and Bob married, she was brought into the world of racing. She and Barb Namen were totem poles for that. Scottie lived her life the way she wanted. She loved being around family and friends playing scrabble and meeting her girlfriends downtown for coffee. Just to make her family happy, she would go fishing and hunting. She was a proud mother and loved to watch her husband and sons race boats and snowmobiles.
Scottie was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Marcoe and her son Donald Kirkwood and her parents, Faye Wilson and Bert Irvin and her brother Robert Irvin of Scotland.
She leaves behind her 2 brothers, Allen and wife Nan along with their daughter Claire and John Irvin and her brother Robert's wife Marie and kids Natalie and Julie in Scotland; her son Colin Wolfenden (Heidi), daughter in law Pam Kirkwood and her son Robert Kirkwood (Lauren) who is currently serving in the military; Scottie's grandchildren and great – grandchildren, Colby and son Tucker Wolfenden (Amber) of Dayton; Clinton Miller and daughter Cambree (Jen and Emma of Missoula; Diana Dalke and sons Colt and Conner of Polson; Jonel Kallowat and son Bentley of Polson; Letitia Kallowat (Colin) and children Donny (Maylee) Whispper, Natyzah, Corde' and Honost of Elmo; Kelvon Kallowat of Laramie, WY; Scottie's first great-great-grandchild is expected in March by Donny and Maylee; she also leaves behind many nieces and nephews in Scotland.
We would like to give special appreciation to June Jorgenson for all the help and support she has shown us through this tough time. We couldn't have done this without her.
Scottie lost her brother Robert Irvin on December 31, 2015 just days before she passed so he could open the gates for his older sister.

Mom's ashes will be spread at Hall Lake (in the Swan) to be with her husband and son.
