Obituary for
Lyle Gene Bowerman
Lyle Gene Bowerman, 80 years old, of Polson, passed away on July 26, 2015. Lyle was born in Hot Springs, MT. on March 9, 1935 to Walter and Sylvia (Baxter) Bowerman.
He was raised in Hot Springs and lived there until graduating from high school in 1954. He then joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego, CA. After his discharge, he married Bonnie Hingley. They moved to the Washington coast and had three daughters. He lived in Washington for many years where he ran his own machine shop.
In 1975, his love of Montana brought him and his family back to Hot Springs. He then moved to Superior, MT to work in the mill. He met and married Teresa Case. After a few years they moved to Ranchester, WY where he worked at a coal mine. He remained in Ranchester until June of 2014 when he moved to Polson.
Lyle had a love of the outdoors. He loved to fish and hunt. He had many memories of fishing with his uncles, especially his uncle Chuck.
He was preceded in death by his wife Teresa Case, his parents, Walt and Sylvia Bowerman, his brother Perry Bowerman and many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Bowerman (Leo), Kris Morigeau (Craig) and Carlene Grant (Jay); two step–daughters, Kerri Holling and Jodi Bentley; grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Joe, Seth, Trey, Mayce and Jae Kristie; great-granddaughter Emimae, step-grandchildren, Colton, Shelby, Hunter and Chandler and his aunt Lila, his cousin Randy and many other cousins and his sister in law Vera.
Memorial graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1:00 pm, at Murray Memorial Cemetery in Lonepine, MT. There will be a luncheon following the service at Vera Bowerman's home.
