Lillie M. Nester

Lillie M. Nester, 86, of Ronan, MT, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 at St. Luke Community Hospital in Ronan. She had been a resident of St. Luke Extended Care Facility in Ronan. Lillie was born on December 20, 1922 in Tippo, MS, a daughter of the late Joe Charlie and Lena Allison. Lillie married Lovell Nester on December 16, 1941 in Hernando, MS and shared what would have been 69 years of marriage this year. Lovell passed away March 6, 2009. She enjoyed making crafts and previously operated a craft shop with Lovell in Lake of the Ozarks, MO. Lillie loved to fish and did so almost everyday. She was also a lifetime member of the VFW. Lovell and Lillie moved to Polson, MT five years ago to be closer to their daughter, Linda Allen. Besides her husband and parents, three sisters and one brother precede Lillie in death. Survivors include her children, Linda (Bob) Allen of Polson, Mary (John) Meyers of Grapevine, TX and JR Nester: six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Polson with Rev. Dave Anson officiating. Private burial will occur at Lakeview Cemetery, Polson. In lieu of flowers, the Lillie's family has requested donations to the Polson Soup Kitchen, 101 7th Ave. W, Polson, MT 59860 Messages of condolence may be sent to the family online at www.groganfuneralhome.com.
