Kenneth Allen Prewett

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kenneth Allen Prewett, beloved husband, father, grandfather, pastor, and friend on February 28, 2025. Kenny was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on January 8, 1948, to Raymond and Floanne Prewett. Kenny lived a life marked by service, love, and endless devotion to his faith in Christ.

Kenny served his country with honor in the United States Army and was a proud Vietnam War veteran. He and his beautiful wife, Merrie Jean Holley, were united in marriage for over 35 years. Together, they answered a call to full-time mission work, dedicating their lives to ministry in remote areas of the American West, including Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and Montana. In particular, they served on Native American Reservations, planting churches and ministering to countless individuals who were blessed by their love and unwavering faith. His love for others and his commitment to Christ were the driving forces behind his life’s work and calling.

Among the Flathead Valley and beyond, Pastor Kenny’s generous heart for people was evident to all who knew him. His passion for spreading the message of Jesus Christ was not only through words but through actions. He believed in the power of seeing people for who they truly were—created in the image of God—and treated everyone he met with kindness, respect, and compassion. His legacy is one of love, service, and the eternal impact he had on the lives of others for the gospel.

Kenny is survived by his children, Asa Prewett, Laura Prewett Ford, and Anna Prewett Brewer, as well as their spouses, Jenna Prewett, Sonny Ford, and Garrett Brewer, and his grandchildren: Izayus, Amira, Asher, and Ayla Prewett, Kate and Lily Beth Ford, and Lee and Florence Brewer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merrie Prewett, and son, Jordan Prewett.

Though he is no longer with us, Kenny’s godly legacy will continue to inspire and impact those who were blessed to know him. His life was a reflection of his deep love for Jesus, his family, and all people, and his memory will be cherished forever.

 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

Services for Kenny will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Jocko Valley Baptist Church in Arlee, MT. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am, funeral service at 12:30 pm, followed by a small graveside service in Polson at Lakeview Cemetery.
