Katherine Dorothy Randall

Katherine Dorothy (Sternberg Jones) Randall passed away Jan. 19, 2009, at St. Luke Extended Care in Ronan from natural causes. She was delivered by her father July 27, 1916, at the family farm outside Big Sandy. After high school she moved to Great Falls where she married Bob Jones in 1942. They had four children. In 1963, the family moved to Missoula to buy the A-Z Rental Store, later renamed Star Rental. After divorcing in 1976 she worked at Newberrys and Stone\'s Grocery. In 1979, she married William Randall, they divorced in 1982. Kay moved to Lake View Village Apts. in Polson then to St. Luke Extended Care Facility in 2002. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Judy Williams in 2002. Survivors include her son and two daughters: Jerry and Betty Jones, Polson, Joyce and Jim Marsh, Polson, and Janet and Rob Thornburg, Helena, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grand-children, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Internment will be in Big Sandy where Kay will join the rest of her family in the Sternberg family plot.
