Joni Lynn Buckman

May 4, 1983 — August 7, 2021

Our Joni was born at the Fort Belknap Agency, Harlem, Montana on May 4, 1983. At the young age of 38, our beloved Joni left our world on August 7, 2021, in Benefis Hospital, Great Falls, Montana.

Born to parents, Glen Johnny Buckman and Jolene Shorte Shortman, Joni Lynn Buckman was the youngest of their five beautiful children. Along with her family, she moved to Polson, Montana at a young age. She attended school, being employed, and enjoyed the beautiful Flathead Lake and surrounding area throughout her life. In her school years, she was active in sports, choir and band, being a first time Freshman Clarinet player to go to State, which she was proud of. She attended Salish Kootenai College in Pablo, Montana, studying for Computer Engineering. Being exceptionally bright, she was able to figure out electronic devices with ease. She loved to figure out how to fix complicated programs on devices.

Joni lived for her 2 beautiful children, who were the loves of her life. They are beautiful and remind us of what a wonderful, caring person she was. How she lived, laughed, and loved.

She is survived by her children, Teyjah and Donovan Beeks, her parents, Glen and Jolene, sister, Michelle Buckman, brother, Jonas Buckman, several nephews and nieces, uncles, aunts, and many cousins who will also miss her.

She is preceded in death by sisters, Sarah and Christina Buckman, great- grandparents, Robert and Margaret Morin, grandparents, Martin and Vera Buckman, Joseph and Birdie Shortman, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Our Joni will always be loved and remembered by her family and friends... ❤

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory.
