Obituary for
Jane Ann Jeppe
Jane Ann Jeppe passed away December 12, 2015. She was born in Williston, North Dakota on December 12, 1941, and raised in Froid, Montana. She was the daughter of Oscar Svendsen and Maude Kincaid. Jane was baptized and confirmed in the Froid Lutheran Church. She attended Eastern Montana College and Minot State College.
She was married to Phillip M. Aus and they had two children, Del Rae and Michael. In 1975, she married the love of her life, William H. Jeppe and they spent forty wonderful years together.
Jane was a commercial escrow officer in Montana, Colorado, Oregon and Washington. She loved the challenge and working with people. She never knew a stranger and she made lifelong friends wherever she went.
While in Seattle, Jane and Bill were fortunate to live on a yacht in Puget Sound for twelve years. During that time, they made wonderful friends and enjoyed many cruises in U.S. and Canadian waters. Bill was Commodore of the Tacoma Yacht Club and Jane was First Lady. Jane was Commodore of the Minnkota Cruising Club.
Bill and Jane were anxious to retire and make their new home in Polson, Montana. There they jumped into the community and did volunteer work. Two of their favorites were the Polson Chamber and The Port Polson Players. In 2010 they were awarded Volunteer Ambassadors of the Year for Polson.
Jane is survived by her husband, Bill, her brothers Jim (Caron) Svendsen and Jack (Judy) Svendsen, daughter Del Rae (Greg) Grose, son Mike (Christy) Aus, step children Kelly (Sid) Perkin , Jeff (Kathleen) Jeppe, Toni (Terry) Jacobson and Jill (Paul) Casey, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many other relatives.
There will be a memorial service on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at The Lake Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to The Port Polson Players, P.O. Box 1152, Polson, MT 59860.
