Helen Ann Morrison
Helen Ann Morrison, 89, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2012 of natural causes at Brendan House Health Care Facility in Kalispell, MT. She was born on December 26, 1922 to Frank and Francis Jurenka in Havre, MT. She graduated from Hingham High School in 1940. She earned her Teaching Certificate from Northern Montana College in Havre, MT in 1942. Helen started teaching in Fort Benton, MT the fall of 1944, where she met her soon to be husband Royal. They were married on July 11, in 1945 in Fort Benton. After marriage, Helen and Royal moved to Polson, MT in 1954 where she continued to teach elementary education. They purchased a house in town and property on the lake, where they soon built a cabin to spend their summers. In 1956, Helen and Royal started what is now the iconic Burgerville owned now by the Richwine's. Helen and Royal spent 25 years in Davis, California where they both owned and operated the Davis Sport Shop, and finally retired to their beloved Flathead Lake cabin in 1986 where they enjoyed many years of retirement. Helen enjoyed cooking, gardening, stained glass artistry, her grandchildren, and taking long walks with her dogs. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Royal and her dog Max. Helen is survived by her brother and Sister-in-Law, Virgil and Martha Jurenka; Sister, Marietta Ramburg; Daughter Diane Sullivan and her husband Tom; Son Greg his wife Nancy; Grandson's Tanner and Connor Tompkins, and Ryan and Tyler Morrison.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date so everyone may enjoy Helen's remembrance.
