Harold Marvin Spittler was born in Fargo, North Dakota on February 11, 1942. Harold passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024, from natural causes. Harold graduated from Butte High School in 1957. Harold proudly served in the U.S. Navy dedicating his time and efforts to his country from February 20, 1959, till his honorable discharge March 21, 1965. Harold served proudly on the USS Kearsarge.
Harold had a strong work ethic and held many careers over his lifetime but his passion for driving trucks went unprecedented. Harolds truck driving career lead him across the country and gave him the opportunity to create long lasting friendships with all that knew him. Harold was proud of his truck driving career and passed his wealth of knowledge on to the many students he taught while instructing heavy equipment construction, flagging and as a CDL instructor.
Throughout his life, Harold found joy in simple pleasures, especially in the company of loved ones. Harold enjoyed camping and fishing and creating lasting memories with his children and grandchildren. Harold was a loving father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his brother and sister and his son Douglas Spittler.
He is survived by his wife Betty Spittler. His brother Douglas Ekhardt and sister Marj. His sons Mark Spittler and Duane Spittler. His daughters Sonni Spittler and Leona Spittler. His 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be planned in the future by the family.
