Obituary for Geraldine Ann Roullier

St. Ignatius resident Geraldine “Jeri” Ann Roullier died May 25, 2017, unexpectedly at her home. A rosary will be at 7PM Wednesday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, in Mission. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Thursday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. A celebration of life will be followed after in the church hall.

She was born June 9, 1944 in Seattle, Washington. She moved to Montana as a young child and was raised on the Flathead Indian Reservation. In 1962, she graduated from Sunset High School in Portland, OR. She moved to Anchorage, Alaska in the late 1960’s and spent 40 years there raising a family. Throughout her life she worked as a federal government employee with various agencies such as BIA and the US Fish & Wildlife Services. After retirement, she moved back to St. Ignatius where she wanted to live out the remainder of her life.

Jeri had a very strong personality. She was very beautiful, witty, intelligent, caring, loving, and she stood up for what she believed in, with a “spitfire” attitude. She was an avid fisher woman and her hobbies included hunting, camping, traveling and outings with her family. She was very involved with her community, tribal relations, and had strong religious values; she was an active member and Eucharistic Minister with St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She valued her friendships along her journey.

Her surviving siblings are Ernestine Ducheneaux of Ronan, MT, Kenneth Mike Roullier of Okanagan, WA, Phillip Roullier of Hotsprings, MT and Arlene Murphy of Wasilla, AK . Her children are Kenneth Mark Roullier, Kelli Ann Hood, Kerri Maureen Burke, and Alana Siobhan Burke. Grandchildren are Marina Leaundra Clifford, Alysia Shannon Peppers, Tazlina Ariel Clifford, Mariah Nichole Roullier, Sydney Dalton Roullier, Trajyn Shay Hood, Aidan Keith Burke, Laynee Siobhan Burke, and Shaeleigh Breanne Burke. Great granddaughter Taren Rae Jacobs, all of whom reside in the state of Alaska.

She is preceded in death by her father Sydney Roullier Sr., her Mother Delores Roullier, and Brothers Sydney Roullier Jr. and Keith Roullier.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Ignatius Catholic Church.
