Gerald (Jerry) Lloyd Baasch died from complications related to cancer at Logan Health in Kalispell on December 26, 2021 at the age of 70.
Jerry is survived by his children, Nikki (William) Watkins of Missouri, Garett (Crystal) Parks of Missouri, Malden (Jessica) Baasch of Indiana, Matthew (Madelyn) Baasch of Oregon. His siblings, Marci Rodgers of Oregan, Dennis Baasch of Montana, Jan Baasch of Oregon and his nine grandchildren.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Llody Baasch, mother, Mildred Gray, sister, Cheryl Erwin, 1st wife Debra Lichty, 2nd wife Elaine McKay, and 3rd wife Karla (Missy) Sims.
Jerry was born on January 11, 1951 in Valley City, North Dakota to Lloyd Baasch and Mildred (Gray) Baasch. Jerry served in the Army National Guard from 1970 to 1975. He also completed a Sales Course from Dale Carnegie Institute of Utah in 1985. Jerry worked in auto body repair and restoration and as a heavy equipment operator. Jerry was a longtime resident of Polson, Montana. Family and friends remember Jerry as a caring and giving father and member of the community. Jerry enjoyed cooking for fundraisers and gardening. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1695 for 21 years, serving as Exalted Ruler twice. Jerry was a motorcycle enthusiast and had a passion for auto body repair and restoration.
Services to be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Mission Valley Elks Lodge 1695, address 512 Main Street, Polson, MT 59860. Cremation was provided by Lake Funeral Home of Polson.
