Gail Yvonne Johnsrud
Gail Y. Johnsrud, 77, of Kalispell, passed away of cancer, Saturday, June 28th, 2014 surrounded by her loving family in Missoula.
Gail was born on April 2nd, 1937 in International Falls, Minnesota. Her family moved to Whitefish, Montana in 1950. She attended Whitefish High School and graduated in 1955. She married Jack Frazier on December 1st, 1956.
Jack and Gail had three children, Kimberly Ray, Samuel Jake and Robert Scott Frazier.
The family moved to California in 1959 and lived there until they moved to Polson in 1974. Jack and Gail later divorced.
Gail met and married Leon Johnsrud in 1989. She and Leon had great amounts of fun together traveling around the United States. Gail and Leon moved to Kalispell in 1997. They later divorced.
Gail loved to laugh. Her most valued treasures in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gail had lifelong friends from her Whitefish High School days that she enjoyed throughout her life. She loved the monthly "all class luncheons" that they faithfully had.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Lillian Raymond, her brothers, Wally Raymond and Rick Raymond, sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Obi Tu and ex-husband, Jack Frazier.
Gail survived by her daughter Kimberly Ray, her husband Michael and their children, Danielle and Kenneth Roth. Gail's son, Samuel Jake Frazier, his daughter Nicole Hendrix and her son Jalen as well as Sam's son, SSG Jamie Frazier and his two children, Devon and Hailee Frazier. Gail's son Robert Scott Frazier, his wife Teresa, and their children SGT Tyler Frazier and Shelby Frazier. Gail's sister Candy DeVoe, sister and brother-in-law Pat and Carl Cooley, sister and brother in law Romelle and Bill Johnston, and sister-in-law Arlene Raymond. Along with many nieces and nephews.
Gail's family would like to express their gratitude to the following for the grace and dignity they provided to her during her final days. Dr. Rebecca Anderson and the entire staff of Community Medical Center along with Kate Harlow and the entire staff of Rosetta Assisted Living in Missoula, Montana.
Terry, Nancy, Cindy, Jill, Greg and the entire staff of Hospice of Missoula.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30, Thursday July 3rd at Grogan Funeral Home in Polson, Montana followed by a grave site visit. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Missoula in honor of Gail.
