Elvis Gene Smith
Elvis Gene Smith, age 79, passed away August 13, 2016.
E.G. Was born in Mt. Park Ok. His parents moved when he was a young boy to California. His dad was one of the first employees of Kaiser Steel
E.G. graduated from Fontana High School in 1956. He went on to attend Cal. Poly for a year.
He met the love of his life Gerri Toner, Yucaipa's beauty queen, and they were married in April of 1957. They shared 59 wonderful years together.
During high school E.G. was a horse tour guide in Glacier Park. He fell in love with Montana and brought his young family here in the early 70's. He never left. He lived a great, full and rich life in Montana and will be missed by many.
He was a rodeo champion, Buck skinner, movie stuntman, and actor, Blacksmith, Silversmith, Ferrier, Knife and Gun maker, Musician, Husband, Father, Brother, and Friend too many.
He was preceded in death by his parents B. and Lorena Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gerri Smith, Sister Sherry Hansen, children Julie Christopher, Susan Wing, Jody Smith, Bud Davis, and too many grandchildren and friends to list, though he loved you all.
A huge thank you to Tia and Shelly and all of the crew at the Polson Health and Rehab. You made Dad's last days very special. We won't forget your loving kindness and care, to the whole family.
No service will be held at this time, a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
