Elmer Charles Doll

Elmer Charles Doll passed away peacefully at the age of 78, Friday morning, August 23, 2024, at his residence in Polson, MT. He loved the Lord above all else and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was born November 29, 1945, to Lawrence and Irene Doll in Newcastle, Wyoming. 

In 1964 Elmer graduated from Woodburn High School in Woodburn, Oregon. He joined the Air Force in 1965 and was Honorably Discharged in 1969. In December of 1968, he married his high school sweetheart Margie Bryant, and they enjoyed 57 years together. After the military they briefly relocated to the Seattle area. In April of 1973 they moved to Missoula, MT. They remained in Western Montana for the remainder of his life living in Florence, Stevensville and most recently Polson. 

Elmer enjoyed life and loved being outdoors. Hiking, fishing, hunting and camping was made even better when he was with his family. 

Elmer is survived by his loving wife, Margie, along with his sons David Doll (Stacey) of Saint Ignatius and Stephen Doll (Tammy) of Big Arm, both in Montana. Also, by his 8 grandchildren, Elizabeth Rau, Alexandria Doll, Nathaniel Doll, Gabriel Doll, Liam Doll, Aurora Flora, Brynn Pule, Sawyer Pule and their families. He also has 3 great-grandsons Brayden, Benjamin, and Ellis. He is also survived by his brother Lawrence W. Doll and sister Ruby Doll.

He is preceded in death by his father Lawrence Doll (1961), his mother Irene Beal Doll (1999), his brother Lenard Doll (1985), and his sister Sharon Doll (2019). 

A burial will take place at Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Missoula on Wednesday, August 29, 2024, at 3:00 pm.
