Edward "Roy" Robison
Edward "Roy" Robison passed away on April 7, 2013 in Sun City, AZ. Roy was born on March 1, 1937 in Helena, MT., the first of twins. Roy attended schools in Lolo, Ronan, and the University of Montana. Roy and his twin brother, Ray, joined the Army in 1954. Roy owned and operated the Standard Oil Bulk Plant in Missoula. Roy married Carol Peterson in 1959. Together they raised two sons, Brent and Brian. They were divorced in 1986. Roy married Gloria A. Frazier in 1990. He worked for A & I Distr., JGL, and lastly for Great Western Petroleum, all in sales and marketing petroleum products. Roy retired from Great Western Petroleum in 2005, and together with his wife Gloria, moved to Surprise, AZ. They loved Arizona winters, but equally hated Arizona summers. Roy yearned for Montana and the many friends he left behind.
Roy is survived by his wife of 23 years, Gloria of Surprise, AZ; sons, Brent (Vickie) of Stevensville, MT, Brian of Missoula, MT; step-sons, David Garner of Missoula, Steven (Kam) of Cave Creek, AZ; grandsons, Trey and Tanner Robison of Kirkland, WA, and Zachery of Stevensville; step-grandchildren, Kristopher Walling of Lolo, MT, Shannon Langston of Canton, SD, Lleoniza Vasquez of Centralia, WA, and Declan Garner of Cave Creek, AZ.
Roy was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Tanner; his adoptive parents, Jack and Dorothy Robison; twin brother, Ray (2010); and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Missoula, MT. Interment of urn will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
