Donald Louis Garcia, age 89, passed away March 11, 2025, at his home. Donald was born in the family cabin east of Pablo at the base of the Mission Mountains on September 17, 1935, to Trinidad and Annie (Courville) Garcia.
Don married Evelena Gilson in 1954. They had five sons together, Donald Joseph, David Louis, Terry Trinidad, Tracy Harlan, and Christopher Don. They later divorced. He later married Sylvia Spotted Wolf who brought 3 stepdaughters to the family, Selma, Lisa, and Jenny.
Don spent a large part of his life in the woods logging, gathering firewood, hunting, fishing, picking huckleberries, and camping.
After retiring from logging, he spent 17 years working for Two Eagle River School as a bus driver, where he enjoyed driving students for school and sporting events. Finally, he retired to be at home gathering firewood, taking care of his chickens, and working on his yard and property.
Don was preceded in death by both his parents; brothers, Jack, Joe, Pilar, and George; sister, Connie; both previous wives, Evelena and Sylvia; and sons, David and Terry.
He is survived by sons, stepdaughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and numerous other family members.
A celebration of life will be held on June 14, 2025, at the Garcia Family Home.
