Obituary for
Dolores Rose Weaver
Dolores Weaver, resident at St. Luke's Extended Care Facility in Ronan, Montana, passed away the evening of February 26th. She was born Dolores Rose on March 5, 1936, to Stanley and Adeline (Bryant) Moore in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
As a child Dolores and her family lived briefly in Los Angeles, California, during World War II, but most of her life she lived in beautiful southwest Colorado.
She graduated from Durango High School in 1954. On July 16, 1955, she married Pete (Woodrow William) Weaver of Durango. Together they had one daughter, Nolore (Nori). They grew up and lived a wonderful life in Durango, with a brief stint of time in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and Gillette, Wyoming.
Dolores spent her life as a loving mother and grandmother, but worked as a bank teller and clerk for a period of time. She adored her three grandsons, Thomas Weaver Pearce, James Barry Pearce and Matthew Allen Pearce. She was absolutely enthralled by her beautiful great-granddaughter Hallie.
Dolores had a passion for cooking and her cookbook collection was extensive. She loved nature, being outdoors and caring for her flowers and the local birds. Her smiling face and her chattiness will be missed by the many friends she made while in Montana and by her friends and family everywhere.
Dolores is survived by her adoring husband, Pete Weaver, and her loving daughter, Nori Pearce, of Polson, as well as Tom, Heidi and Hallie Pearce of Greeley, Colorado, Jim, Leslie, and family of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Matt and Summer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her sister, Angie Frazzini, of Aztec, New Mexico, and her brother LeRoy Moore of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Services will be held in Durango, Colorado, at a later date.
The family wishes to thank everyone for all their support and care for Dolores during the past three years.
