Dolores Durand (Templer), 85, of Polson, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 of natural causes. She was born on April 29, 1929 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Leon and Catherine Durand. As a young girl her family moved to Manhattan, Montana. She graduated from Manhattan High School and went on to get her Bachelor's degree in nursing from Northern Montana College.
She married Edward Templer in 1951 in Manhattan. The couple moved to Polson, Montana in 1961 and raised their 9 children.
Dolores was an R.N. for St. Joseph Hospital for 10 years before moving to Miami, Florida to work in several hospitals there. After her retirement from nursing, she returned to Montana and settled back in Polson to be near her children.
