Obituary for Deborah Jo Fouty

Deborah Jo Fouty passed away of natural causes from complications due to diabetes on Saturday, April 5, 2014 in Polson, Montana. She was born October 5, 1957 in Missoula.
Debbie graduated from Polson High School. She married Steve Statham in August 1982 and they moved to Everett, Washington where she worked for ELDEC Corporation as a purchasing agent. They had two children, Kristen and Steven. Debbie returned home to Polson in 1998 following the end of the marriage. She went to work for Salish Kootenai College in Enrollment Records. Debbie loved working at the college and for the tribal community.
Debbie loved life. She loved skiing, family times, boating, being with the extended family at Blue Bay,
She was funny, and smart, and kind, always up for fun. She was a great friend to many and had many good friends. Debbie was a hoot to be around and was someone that people gravitated towards for all of these reasons.
She loved tribal art, especially dream catcher's and always had a large collection in her home throughout the years.
She loved her children above all else and was incredibly proud of them and their accomplishments. She was close to her brothers, Bob and Walt and sister-in-law Joan and their children, her nieces and nephews.
Debbie had a twin brother, David, who died in a motorcycle accident at the early age of 18. She also was preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Jo Fouty, her older sister, Jane and niece, Asia. She is survived by her children Kristen (John) Foraker, Steven Statham, her brothers Bob, Walt (Joan) Fouty, and nieces Anne (Stefan) Bernula , Strohm Fouty and nephews Mike (Kim) and Steve Fouty and Roth (Mandy) Fouty, and great-niece Azlyn Fouty and great-nephews Ty, Trae, Drew, Noah and Mason Fouty and grandchildren Jordan, Alyson, Amber and Ayden Foraker.
"Give me a squeeze". –Debbie Fouty
