Obituary for
Daniel Harold Crevar
Daniel H. Crevar, 82, of Polson, Montana began his new life Wednesday, April 8, 2015 with his eyes closed and his heart open. He was born on February 28, 1933 in Manhattan, New York to Jova Nichilo Crevar and Frances (Lezemlk) Crevar.
Dan began his life's journey at the age of 14 when he went out on his own and worked on several farms in upstate New York. He entered into military service in his early twenties and was stationed in Germany. Upon his discharge he moved to Missoula where he met Donna Evans and they began their life together. Dan and Donna both worked for Boeing, he as a pilot and she as a stewardess. From there they moved to Donna's hometown of Charlo to raise their family.
Dan was one of those bigger than life people. He had the most amazing smile and charismatic personality that made everyone he met feel special. He was a self-educated man who greatly enjoyed sharing his passions in life to include: dairy and agricultural farming, steel work and his love of horses. He passed on the importance of hard work, love laughter and living life to the fullest.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Donna, daughter Debra and his brother George. Although Dan treated everyone as family, he is survived by his sister Sylvia, wife Charlie, his daughters, Susanne, Darci, Dixie and Carrie and fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
May his brilliant spirit live on in all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
