Charles Francis "Chuck" O'Connor
Charles F. “Chuck” O’Connor, 86, of Polson, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital, Polson. Charles was born June 29, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Edmond and Lavaughn O’Connor. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. He is survived by a daughter, Laura of Missoula, a son, Scott, and daughter-in-law, Heidi O’Connor of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and grandchildren, Ryan, Molly, Steve, Karen, Claire, Brendan, and James. Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne, son-in-law, Billy Pickett, and brothers, Edmond and John O’Connor.
Charles earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business at Colorado College, Colorado Springs, CO. Chuck and Suzanne were married in Santa Monica in 1952 and moved to Mento Park, CA living there for 32 years, 5 years in Bend, OR, and then moved to Polson in 1995. Charles loved to golf and ski, enjoyed socializing with friends for morning coffee, sharing conversation in the afternoons at South Shore, and was known for his love of chocolate chip cookies.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017, 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Polson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Joseph Hospital, 6 13th Ave. E., Polson, MT 59860, or to the Polson Senior Citizens Center, 504 3rd Ave. , Polson, MT 59860.
