Betty Lee (Beale) Spittler, 66, of Pablo, MT passed away at St. Luke Community Hospital in Ronan, Mt on February 7, 2025, from complications with Type 1 Diabetes. Betty was born November 26, 1958, in Lewiston, Idaho, the daughter of Robert D. and Ivora (Hoisath) Beale.
Betty spent her childhood in various communities as her mother was a traveling musician. She attended Highland High School in Craigmont, ID, where she received her GED. After high school she and her son Ike moved to Kooskia, ID where she met and married Tom Lanman with whom she had a daughter Jessica.
In 1986 Betty met Harold Spittler and they were soon married and moved to Deer Lodge, MT. In the following years Betty gave birth to two beautiful daughters Sonni and Leona. Betty and Harold moved around until finally settling in Pablo, MT.
Betty spent many years working in the group home setting specifically for Mission Mountain Enterprises, while also working as an at home healthcare provider. Betty put her heart and soul into serving others less fortunate.
Over the years, Betty touched many people’s lives and made a friend of every person she came across. Betty’s closest friends would say that to know her was to love her. She had a big heart, a sharp wit and was never one to shy away from telling you what she thought. More than anything, she loved her children and grandchildren. Always the first to boast of their achievements and share photos of them. To her grandchildren she was and will always be known as Nana. An unmeasurable source of pride for her.
Betty was preceded in death by her mother Ivora, her brother Frank, her daughter Jessica and her husband Harold.
She is survived by her brothers Jim and Alf, her sisters Linda and Judy, children Ike, Sonni, and Leona and her grandchildren Conner, Bailey, Kirsten, Dylan, Abbey, Eli, Landyn, Jameson, Peyton, Bradley, Elam and Bodhi.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages anyone who is inclined to make a donation to Mission Mountain Enterprises, located in Polson Mt, in her name.
There will not be a service or a celebration of life. The family will have a private gathering to spread her ashes at a location of Betty’s request.
