Obituary for Betty Jane Hunt

Our beloved wife, mother, aunt and friend, Betty Jane Sandvig Hunt, joined the angels on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 1:40 a.m. Jane was born in Waubay, South Dakota, to Andrew and Jane Sandvig on Jan. 10, 1948.
Jane was a person who loved people. She loved life, but mostly the people in it. She was a very kind, giving and generous person who spent her time helping others and enriching the lives of those around her. She also had a great sense of humor and was always laughing and making everyone around her laugh.
Some of Jane's favorite things (besides people) were chickens! She also was an expert seamstress who sewed countless outfits, moccasins, aprons and so much more for many, many children. She loved the color yellow, family, baseball, laughing and most anything her son Eddy did. Jane spent most of her life on a ranch and loved spending time with her husband Duane and taking care of their animals.
Jane contributed so much laughter, love and support to her family, both biological and personally selected, and will be greatly missed by all.
Jane is survived by her husband, Duane Hunt of Polson; son, Eddy and (Tia) Hanson of Polson; grandchildren, Tristan, Hailey and Ellee Hanson, Jana and Cassie Hawkins, and Lyric Newby; mother, Nelma Jane Sandvig of Wenatchee, Washington; stepchildren, Cindy Hunt of Salem, Oregon, Rebecca Bodner of Reno, Nevada, and Wess and Kaley Hunt of Bozeman; brothers and sisters, Daniel Sandvig of Arlee, Andrew Sandvig of Missoula, Laura and (Ron Boyce) of Polson, Keri McDonald of Missoula, Gloria and (Mel Kincaid) of Spokane, Emmy and (Gail Wick) of Wenatchee, Marvon Sandvig of Missoula, Art and Corey Sandvig of Kalispell; as well as "Jane's kids," Tina, Tommy, Dwy, Jake, Jeff, Shaqazie, Ronni, Baby Kasey, Nina, Tessa and Brittany, Jordan, Eligio, Corey, Brent, Tyson, Jason, Georgie and many others.
She was welcomed into heaven by her son, Jack Jason Cox; father, Andrew Oscar Sandvig; sisters, Ann Manning and Rose Gardipe; brother, George Englebricht; and family friend, Brian Anciaux.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Polson at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. Anyone having yellow garments is encouraged to wear them.
