Obituary for Betty Lou Gray Fritz

Betty Lou Parshall Gray Fritz, 87, passed away at the Village Senior Residence on May 9th, 2015 after a long and hard fought battle with C.O.P.D. Betty was born February 11, 1928 to Roland and Alma Parshall, in Billings, MT.
She was soon joined by brothers Robert Parshall and Jack Parshall. In 1946 Betty married Robert Gray in Billings, MT. They lived in Polson for a short time during which their first child, Michael was born in 1947. They moved to Libby in 1949. In 1950, Michael was joined by a sister, Lucinda. In 1952 the Gray family moved to Lonepine. Betty worked at the Sanders County Hospital for many years as a nurse's aide. Robert passed away in 1971. In 1980 Betty married Leo (Bud) Fritz in Hot Springs. They made their home in Hot Springs, and then later moved to Kalispell. Leo passed away in 2001. Betty then moved to Missoula where she has resided ever since.
Betty was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother, Jack Parshall.
Betty is survived by her son, Michael (Charlotte) Gray, of Hot Springs; and daughter, Lucinda (Barry) Smith, of Missoula, grandsons Robert (Amy) Gray, Kenny (Cortni) Gray, Jamie (Lindsay) Robbins, and Kenny (Alisha) Smith, granddaughters Kimberly (Chad) Radabah, Sara (Shawn) Dye, Leslie (Mike) Walter, Kelly (Tanner) Rauk, as well as 16 great grandchildren, brother, Robert Parshall, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, "Miss Kitty".
In accordance with Betty's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Betty will be put laid to rest beside Robert at the Murray Memorial Cemetery in Lonepine, in the presence of her immediate family.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of the Village Senior Residence and Partners in Home Care, especially to Janice Barber, RN, for the wonderful care provided to Betty during her illness.
