Obituary for
Aunika Katelyn Corrigan
On Wednesday, June 24, 2015, our Rosebud rode into the sunset on her horse Sophie.
Aunika Katelyn Corrigan was born in Missoula on Sept. 29, 1998, to Bryan Corrigan and Tawny Olsen. She was a happy, chubby little girl who grew into a beautiful young woman with an amazing smile who would have made a difference in this world had she not been taken from us so soon.
Aunika would have been a junior at Polson High School next year. She always said, "I have no friends," but little did she know how many hearts she touched in her short time with us. She made a friend everywhere she went.
She had a great love for hunting, dancing, track, riding horses, fishing and creek fishing with her mom, Bleu. We know Grandma Shirley was waiting for her with cane poles in hand and a great place to fish already scoped out in heaven. She also had a special love for rodeo and wanted to learn how to do breakaway roping. And last but not least, she loved her Seahawks. In a family of die-hard Raiders fans, she always stood out in her blue and green.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Gordon and Shirley Wilson, Don and Bertie Corrigan, Lester and Blanche Olsen, Norma Cates; her Yaya, Sheri Saddler; and her cousin, Madison Corrigan.
She is survived by her dad and mom, Bryan and Cathleen "Bleu" Corrigan; her mother, Tawny Olsen; her brothers and sisters, Austin, Dylan, Mason, Shelby (David) and Paige; grandparents, Mike and Cathy Corrigan, Lynn and Kathy Olsen, and Glenn and Janis Cates; great-grandparents, Grandma V (Lavon) Wilson and Papa Joe Saddler; aunts and uncles, Shawn Corrigan, Bill and Tracee Corrigan, Dale and Mandy Ramesar, Mindy Schultz, Leslie and Dustin Arneson, R.J. Olsen, Leah and Troy Fredenburg, DeeAnn and Bret Richardson, Coerina and Adam Fife, Caulene and Jason Piippo, Sam and Lacy Cates, Glennis Cates, Sergey Svetlichny, Irina Cates and Auxie Cates; very special cousins, Michael and Mariah Corrigan and many other cousins who loved her a lot and are too numerous to mention; a very special new nephew, baby Dean, who will never get to know his wonderful aunty Aunika; and, lastly, her many countless friends.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 1st, at the New Life Christian Center. The reception will follow at the Sportspage. We would love everyone to come share memories and celebrate the life of our beautiful Aunika Katelyn Corrigan.
