Obituary for Arline Joyce Raymond

Arline J. Raymond, October 7, 1928 to July 10, 2016

Our dear beloved mother and grandmother passed peacefully Sunday, July 10 with her eight children and other family members by her side.

Arline was born on October 7, 1928 in Minneapolis, MN to Axel and Julia (Erickson) Lundberg. She moved as a teenager to the Tri-cities, WA area during World War II, and graduated from Kennewick High School in 1946. She married Richard J. Raymond on May 25, 1948, and began her life as loving wife and mother. She was a career woman before it was trendy, working in the Escrow department of the Seattle National Bank branch office in Pasco, WA.

Arline and Rick soon built their home in Pasco, and began raising their family. The first six of eight children were born there. The family moved to Polson, Montana in 1963 where their last two children were born.
Arline continued her career at Security State Bank in Polson, before moving to Lake County Abstract and Title Company, where she worked for 25 years. She was an active member for many years of the Business and Professional Women's Association and of the Altar Society of the Immaculate Conception Church. After retirement she volunteered at the Lake County Library, enjoyed exercising and socializing at the Senior Center, baking for her family and traveling to visit her many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her.

Arline was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, and both parents and siblings. She is survived by sons Theodore J. Raymond (Sue), Mark T. Raymond (Linda Johnson), Roger A. Raymond (Mary), James W. Raymond (Dawn) and David R. Raymond (Erin); daughters Annette Raymond Brown (Leroy), Julia Raymond Lorenz (Willy) and Jeanette M. St. Amand (Robert); and 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and innumerable friends.

Traditional Catholic Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Polson, Montana, where she was a member for 53 years. There will be a Rosary at the church on Wed., July 13th at 5:00 P.M. followed by a visitation until 7:00 P.M. Urn burial will take place at a later time.
