Obituary for
Alicia Korin Howell
Her laugh filled the room and her smile lit the heart. Alicia Korin Howell passed away on February 25, 2018 at the age of 41. Known by many for her kind smile and quick laughter, she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Daughter to Bob and Marilyn Howell, Alicia was born in Polson, Montana on March 21, 1976. She was raised in Polson, and continued to live there her whole life. Alicia was quick to show compassion to those she met and eager to please those she cared for. We will all remember the sound of her kind laughter; it brightened the day for anyone who would hear.
Many of us appreciated her talent and artistic ability. Her talent could be clearly seen in what she created; whether it was intricate artwork, crocheted hats and sweaters, beautiful cakes, or the signs at Super One Foods. Her art was soothing for her heart.
Alicia helped many of her friends take a positive view of life and she looked for the best in others. She put others before herself. She did not hesitate to help someone in need.
Alicia is survived by her daughter, Annabelle Lee Gunderson, her parents Bob and Marilyn Howell, sisters Nicole (Gabe) Thomas, Jessica (Mark) Henry, and brother Matthew (Rachel) Howell and nieces Isabel (Cody) Dennison, Kaitlyn Howell, Jozlyn Howell and nephews, Wyatt Thomas, Augustus Thomas, and Maddox Howell. In addition, she is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly along with her family. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Francis and Olivine Burland and paternal grandparents, Larry and Leah Howell.
Her family has full confidence that through God’s Love we have hope. (1 Corinthians 15:26; Revelation 21:4) In memory of Alicia, the Howell family has held a private dinner to remember the one who was so loved. Additionally, Annabelle Gunderson has arranged for a public service in honor of her mother, to be presided by Pastor Paul Rowold on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11am at The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory in Polson. Condolences may be sent to the Lake Funeral Home and Crematory in Polson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mission Valley Animal Shelter in Alicia’s name, or the Annabelle Lee Gunderson Education Fund account.
