Obituary for
Abbie Blance Weiss
Abbie Blanche Kimble Weiss, 67, of Polson, MT, joined her Heavenly Father, her parents, and her beloved son, Jason on Saturday, July 16, 2011, after a brave battle with renal and congestive heart failure. Everyone who knew Abbie can attest to her having the biggest heart. She loved everyone she ever me and always made sure to keep special contact with everyone. Most people heard Abbie's voice everyday because she called to check in and be sure they knew she loved them, every day. Abbie also had a way of seeing the beauty in everything, no matter what the situation was. Abbie enjoyed many hobbies, such as fill-in puzzles, cross stitching, genealogy, story telling, writing family history, and showing pictures of her family, which she was most proud of. Her biggest hobbies were the phone calls, particularly to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She would always say, 'Their laughter is like the most beautiful heavenly music.' She had a special relationship with all of her grandchildren, and she never hesitated to tell the world how proud of them she was. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren will never forget Grandma's goofy faces, Slap Jack wars, Speed (she never won), her big beautiful smile, her soft, gentle hugs, her warm blue eyes, the required kiss, and when she'd sit on and tickle them. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Jason Weiss: her parents, George and Nellie Kimble: and her sister, Anna Manning. She leaves behind three sisters, Odial (Eugene) of Washington, Hattie (Elliot), and Elma (LaVonne): and a brother, Charles (Marion) of Washington: three children, Lance, Cynthia (Dave), and LaRese (Fordyce): four grandchildren, Destyne (Tim), Everett, DeeDra (Steve), and Seldon. The great-grandchildren left behind include, Preston Folk, Kyara Fraga, Isaac McCoy, Brooklyn Folk, Alesje McCoy, and Sasha McCoy all of the Flathead Reservation area. Her special friends left behind include, but are not limited to, Alice Weible, Tony Marshall, the Safeway Pharmacy staff, Kim, CAN from Kalispell Regional Medical Center, and many, many, more. In lieu of flowers, Abbie asked for donations to be sent to the First Interstate Bank in the name of Abbie Weiss Grandchildren. All funds collected will be distributed evenly between the grandchildren and hospice. A gathering of friends and family will take place at the Grogan Funeral Home, 101 Sixth Ave. E., Polson on Wednesday, June 20, 2011 from 9:00 AM ' 10:30 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Polson. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family online at www.groganfuneralhome.com. The staff of Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory, Polson, considers it a privilege to care for Abbie's family.
